Rebound Hammer

  • Operating Principle: Measures the "rebound number" of a spring-driven hammer mass that strikes a plunger held against the concrete surface.
  • Strength Correlation: A higher rebound number indicates a harder surface and, consequently, stronger concrete.
  • Usage: Ideal for testing in-place concrete and early-age concrete after its final set.
